He was born on August 30, 1935, in Bloomsburg, PA to the late Rev. Myles R. Smeltz, Sr. and Edith Lubold Smeltz. Mike was a veteran having served in the US Army National Guard, Manager of Plant Engineering of Campbell Chain, York, PA.
