Job Title: Studio Salon Assistant Manager Company: Sally Beauty

Essential Function:

As the STUDIO Salon Lead, you will be responsible for the successful operations of the STUDIO salon and driving services to produce revenue by understanding the levers and indicators that affect the salon's business

Primary Duties
35% Sales:
Analyze, coach and hold team accountable by using all available reporting, tools and technology to ensure full understanding of salon service impact to overall store sales
Achieve salon sales plan by attracting new customers while building a repeat customer base through coaching stylists to deliver engaging service experiences while effectively promoting salon services and selling additional products to every customer
Educate and hold all team members accountable including the Beauty Advisors to be knowledgeable of the salon services offered, timing and how to properly use Vagaro to book appointments on behalf of the stylist
Identify strengths and areas for improvement within the team and hold Stylists accountable to meet sales targets and key performance indicators
Hold team accountable for promotional events and initiatives to promote Sally Beauty Studio, enhancing service and retail sales
Hold team accountable to host community events in Sally Beauty + Studio monthly and build partnerships with outside community groups
Hold team accountable to prepare and execute all Vendor led events by filling the chairs during the event time, partnering with the Store Manager & District Manager to invite local team members from surrounding stores to further enhance their product knowledge to impact the halo effect of STUDIO in the market
Collaborate with Store Manager, District Manager and Salon Director on service and sales driving ideas that positively impact revenue to STUDIO while enhancing the customer experience

In partnership with the Store Manager and Salon Director handle any customer complaints and resolve issues that may arise
35% Salon Operations:
Oversee salon operations with an emphasis on maintaining the assigned payroll and supply budget, controlling expenses, growing sales, and efficient inventory management of backbar including following all Hazmat guidelines
Maximize scheduling efficiency through the effective use of Vagaro, imputing weekly schedules for Stylists, schedule all workshops and monitor booking capacity for services, classes and workshops
Hold Stylists accountable for day-to-day operations, oversee the work of the Stylists and their productivity, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall maintenance of the salon environment
Ensure the salon environment is always safe for associates and customers; all policies and procedures are followed including state board regulations and team is help accountable to all salon standards

20% People:
Source candidates for technical interviews to be completed by the Salon Director in partnership with the Store Manager, District Manager
Ensure open positions are filled timely by building a bench of talent through networking and partnerships with beauty schools and other salons as well as partnering with the corporate recruiting team as needed
Schedule stylists onboarding with Salon Director by following the company provided tools and guideline to maximize productivity and create a consistent customer experience across all STUDIO's
Provide supervision and support for Stylists daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional customer experience, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty in the salon
Conduct regular meetings with Stylists to keep a pulse on culture, Stylists development and build a bench of talent with in the store and reduce turnover
Maintain positive associate relations by resolving concerns and keep associates informed of relevant Company information
10% Brand:
Support, inspire and hold team accountable to create employee and customer generated content for social posting to drive brand recognition and new customers in partnership with the Senior Manager, Social Media
Enforce and hold team accountable to follow salon brand standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Indicate the minimum qualifications required to perform the job: work experience (including type of work and number of years required); education (including desired degree and field of study); specify certificate or license requirements.
Enthusiasm for salons, the beauty industry, and its products
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Minimum 5 years salon experience preferred
At least 3+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
Can effectively communicate with team and management
Must have scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business (weekends and holidays as needed)
Salon management or education experience a plus
Cosmetology license preferred unless required by law

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes
The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as salon and retail store, use of safe work practices with salon and office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire and hazardous waste regulations etc.
The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated
