This recipe is a Close replica of the Pad Thai from Siam Garden . So go ahead and make Restaurant style Pad Thai at home.

What are the Ingredients Needed to make this Pad thai Vegetarian recipe ?

  • Pad Thai Noodles – These are steamed rice noodles. For the days when you crave to eat noodles , but cannot eat due to Gluten , these come to your rescue. Gluten free, egg free, Vegan , wheat free noodles. Simply use them with Soup, Stir fry and you have a wholesome meal at hand.

  • Firm tofu – I have used firm tofu , not extra firm to give an added meaty texture to the Pad Thai. Just lightly air fry the pieces and you shall have a taste and texture party.

  • Vegetables – Here you can play with texture, Colour and add as many vegetables as you feel Like. I have used Zucchini, Bell Peppers, Baby corn, carrots and bean Sprouts, Spring onion Greens for the added flavour and texture.

Instructions to make this Pad Thai Vegetarian in Instant pot.

The complete Step by step Instructions can be printed out in the form of a recipe card. Its is a very simple recipe .Pad Thai Vegetarian recipe that is so flavour full and fool Proof. You shall make the Pad Thai Vegetarian more often in your Instant pot .

All you need to do is-

Make a Quick Pad Thai Sauce Or simply use a store bought Pad Thai Sauce.

Add the Sesame Oil To the Inner Pot . Switch On the Sauté mode. Let the inner pot Heat .

Next add the Garlic and Spring Onion Greens.

Stir Fry The Veggies and the Tofu in the Instant pot by Switching on the Sauté mode on the Instant pot. Let the veggies Cook for about 30 seconds.

Quickly remove the Stir fired Vegetables from the Inner Pot.

In The Same Pot now add the Homemade Pad Thai Sauce. You could alternatively use the store bought version too.

Next add Water and The Pad Thai noodles In a Criss Cross Fashion . Layering the noodles evenly in the Inner Pot in the Liquid Mix of Pad Thai Sauce and Water.

Now Close the Lid of the Instant pot and Cook on high Pressure , Valve on Steaming for 3 minutes.

Depressurise manually , release all the steam once the 3 minutes of pressure cooking is over.

Remember these Pad Thai Noodles are made of Steamed Rice and cook very Quickly . You do not want a soggy clump of over cooked Noodles.

Once the Lid is open add the Stir Fried Vegetables back to the Instant Pot containing the Cooked Rice noodles.

Ingredients

  • Pad Thai Noodles - 1 Pound
  • For The Pad Thai Sauce
  • Tamari / Soy Sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind Paste/ Juice- 1 tbsp
  • Chilly garlic Sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Coconut palm Sugar- 1/4 cup
  • Sesame Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice (optional)- 1tsp
  • Garlic Mince- 2 tsp
  • Spring onion greens- 1 tsp
  • Water- 1 cup
  • For garnish
  • Cilantro leaves
  • Lemon Wedges
  • Peanuts

Instructions

    1. Make a Quick Pad Thai Sauce .
    2. Start By adding Soy sauce/ Tamari to a medium bowl.
    3. Next add the tamarind paste.
    4. Add the Chilli garlic Sauce and coconut palm Sugar to the bowl.
    5. Whisk the ingredients together to get the most amazing Pad Thai sauce (gluten free)
    6. Next Switch on the Instant pot on Sauté mode.
    7. Once the Inner Pot is hot Add the Sesame Oil To the Inner Pot .
    8. Next add the Garlic and Spring Onion Greens.
    9. Stir Fry The Veggies and the Tofu in the Instant pot by Switching on the Sauté mode on the Instant pot. Let the veggies Cook for about 30 seconds.
