I forgot my Open24 password

If you've forgotten your Open24 Online Banking password, or wish to change it, you can use the PTSB app to update it by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the PTSB app.
  2. Enter 3 digits of your Personal Access Number (PAN).
  3. Select ‘Settings and Security’ via the main menu.
  4. Select ‘Reset or Create Password’.
  5. Enter your new password and select ‘Continue’.View our guide on how to create a strong password.
  6. Once you've received confirmation on screen that your password has been updated, you cancontinue your Online Banking as normal.
Important Information

Even if you've forgotten your password, you can still log in to the PTSB app using 3 digits of your Personal Access Number (PAN) and simply create a new password without the need for your current password.

Important Information

When using the PTSB app to reset your password, your mobile or tablet device will need to be the one registered to your Open24 account.

If you've forgotten your Open24 password, give us acall on our 24/7automated phone service 0818 50 24 24or +353 1 212 4101(from overseas)and follow the instructions provided to receive a temporary password.

To change your password through the Open24 Online Banking website, watch our step by step video tutorial below or follow these steps:

  1. Log in to theOpen24 Online Banking website. (This cannot be done on a mobile device. Please use a desktop computer, laptop or tablet).
  2. Enter 3 digits of your Personal Access Number (PAN).
  3. Select 'Other services'on theleft hand sidemenu.
  4. Select 'View more',under 'Do more'.
  5. Then select 'Update now', under 'Update your contact details'.
  6. From here, select 'Change your password'.
  7. Once you've received confirmation on screen that your password has been updated, you cancontinue your Online Banking as normal.

I forgot my Open24 Number

If you've forgotten your Open24 Number, you can find it on the back of your Visa Debit Card, or in the PTSB appby following these steps:

  • Log in to the PTSB app using 3 digitsof your Personal Access Number (PAN).
  • Select'Settings and Security'.
  • View 'Open24 Number'.

I'm locked out of my Open24 account

If you're locked out of your account, give us acall on0818 50 24 24or +353 1 212 4101(from overseas)and follow the instructions provided to speak to an advisor. Lines are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Before you call us, here's what to expect:
  1. An advisor will ask you a series of security questions to confirm your identity.
  2. Once your identity has been confirmed, our advisor will unlock your account.
  3. You will then be issued a temporary password which takes approx. 5-10 minutes to activate,and will expire within 30 days.
  4. At this point, make sure you have access to a laptop or PC, as your temporary password needs to be updated through the Open24 Online Banking website. This cannot be done within the PTSBapp.
  5. Using a desktop or laptop computer, log in toOpen24using your:
    • Open24 Number(the 10 digit number on your Visa Debit card).
    • Personal Access Number (PAN).
    • Followed by your newtemporary password.
  6. Once you've logged into Open24using your temporary password, you will be immediately prompted to create a new password. View our guide on how to create a strong password.

Rules for creating a strong password

Follow these specific rules to create a strong Open24 password:

  • Must be between 8 - 32 characters long.
  • Contain at least one lower-case character.
  • Contain at least one upper-case character.
  • Contain at least one number.
  • Not contain more than two identical characters in a row.

You can also use spaces and special characters in your password such as £££££££$%^&*()-_=+'''~~~~~\\\\\\\|.
