Nexus Mods launched the Seamless Co-Op mod for Elden Ring today. This mod expands the game’s multiplayer way beyond its original capabilities.

Instead of the usual Soulsborne co-op style, this mod allows players to complete the game with no restrictions whatsoever. No golden summoning marks or Furlcalling Finger Remedies required!

Aside from this seamless cooperation, the mod also allows an additional player to join the session, making it three helping phantoms rather than the usual 2.

We know installing mods can be scary. But, the good news is that all these features are included in the easy-to-install and free Seamless Co-Op Elden Ring mod!

First, make sure you have a complete installation of Elden Ring on your PC before trying to install this mod. Aside from this, you need to download the mod files to your PC.

Download the Seamless Co-Op Mod

Follow these steps to download the Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op mod:

• Go to the Files Tab of the Seamless Co-Op Nexus Mods Site
• If you are not logged in to your Nexus Mods account, click on “Log in here”
• Once logged, click on the “Manual Download” button
• If you have a free account, click on “Slow Download”; else, click on “Fast Download”
• Wait for the download to start; if it does not start, click on “Click here” to start a manual download
• There is a chance that your browser would alert you of the download stating zip files could be dangerous; accept the download to save the file on your PC

Install the Seamless Co-Op Mod for Elden Ring

To install the Elden Ring Nexus Mods Seamless Co-Op Mod, follow these steps:

• Extract the files from the zip file you downloaded with the mod, on Windows you can do this by right-clicking the file and selecting “Extract All”
• Once you have the extracted files, you have to move them to the “Game” folder within the Elden Ring files on your PC; these are usually the most common paths for this folder:
  • Default Path: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDENRING\Game”
  • Custom Installation Path: “Disc:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game”
• Once you have moved the files, open the SeamlessCoop folder, right-click on the cooppassword.ini file, go to the “Open with” option and click on Notepad
• The Notepad app will open the file; you just have to enter the password you and your friends want to use while playing online after the “=”, you can use letters and numbers
• After entering the password, save the file with Ctrl+S, or click on File, and then Save; you should now close the Notepad window

How to Launch Elden Ring Seamless Co-OP Mod

Once you have successfully installed the Seamless Co-Op mod in Elden Ring, you just have to double click the “launch_elden_ring_seamlesscoop.exe” file to run the game*.

You can locate this file in the Game folder within the Elden Ring files.

Getting here each time you need to launch the game can be a little bit cumbersome. But, you can solve this by creating a Desktop shortcut to this file.

Once this shortcut is in place, all you have to do is double-click it, and it should launch Elden Ring Nexus Mod Seamless Co-Op!

*NOTE: If you receive a “Windows protected your PC” message when running the mod for the first time, click on “More info” and click on “Run anyway.”

How to Play Elden Ring Seamless Co-OP Mod with Friends

Elden Ring Seamless Co-OP offers a series of unique in-game items to play with friends:

• Tiny Great Pot: Opens world for co-op play
• Effigy of Malenia: Joins open world as a co-op partner
• Separation Mist: Ends co-op session

Set up a Session for Players to Join or Join an Existing Session

To get a friend to join your session, make sure you both have the same password set on the “cooppassword.ini” file. Once all the players joining the session have the same password, launch the game and follow these instructions:

• The player that wants to act as the host should use go to the Inventory or Multiplayer menu and use the Tiny Great Pot item
• Players joining the session should go to the Inventory or Multiplayer menu and use the Effigy of Malenia item
• If all the players and host have the same password, all of them should join the host in their world

Leave or End a Multiplayer Session

If you are hosting a Multiplayer Session on Elden Ring’s Seamless Co-Op mod, all you need to end the session is to use the Separation Mist item.

You can find this item on your Inventory or Multiplayer menu right from the start of the game. As well, if you are a phantom, you can also leave the host’s world by using the Separation Mist.
